With their father an unemployed lorry-driver, the Kim family struggle to get by. Using false accreditation, their college-age son lands a job as tutor to the daughter of the rich Park family and gradually inveigles his sister and parents into jobs at the luxury Park mansion. A searing critique of social inequality and a riotous comedy featuring the ultimate con-artist family, the film won the Palme d’Or at the 2019 Cannes film festival.
