Afghanistan under Taliban control 2001. When her father is wrongfully arrested, a determined young girl disguises herself as a boy in order to provide for her family. Working alongside a friend, she soon discovers a new world of freedom and danger. The animation beautifully brings to life the landscape and culture of Kabul, from the bustling bazaar to the vistas of distant mountains.
