A former secretary, newly appointed as scriptwriter for wartime propaganda films, joins the cast and crew of a major production as the blitz rages around them. The savage uncertainty of life at the time, combined with the change in sexual politics, is a fascinating background to the progress of Catrin as she leaves the Welsh valleys for London. With many scenes filmed in Pembrokeshire.
